But that's about to change, as the Raiders are not expected to bring the 39-year-old Janikowski back for the 2018 season season, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Wednesday.

Kicker Sebastian Janikowski #11 of the Oakland Raiders scores a point after touchdown against the Buffalo Bills on December 4, 2016 at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum in Oakland, California.

The 17th overall pick in 2000, the soon-to-be 40-year-old has spent his entire National Football League career with the Raiders, leading the team all time in scoring.

"He plans on getting another job", the agent said. He turns 40 on March 2.

Ahed Tamimi's Trial To Be Continued Behind Closed Doors
Human rights groups have protested the minor's imprisonment and demanded she be released for the period of her trial. On Tuesday morning, Ahed Tamimi once again was brought before an Israeli military court at the Ofer Military Prison.

With that said, Janikowski could definitely help and given his long-time reputation as a kicker with a big leg who can drill the ball from anywhere on the field, he might be worth a look for the Giants for the 2018 season.

The left-footed Jankowski, who was known among Raiders fans by the nickname "Seabass", is the franchise's all-time leader in points (1,799) and games played (268).

There was some thought that new coach Jon Gruden might give Janikowski another chance since he was Oakland's coach when Janikowski was drafted and for his first two seasons. Only a few days later he was placed on injured reserve.

The writing was on the wall with Giorgio Talvecchio under team control next year. He will now have the opportunity to join whatever team he wants to as an unrestricted free agent.
