He's back and the fans couldn't be happier.

Dwyane Wade was on his way to Cleveland's practice facility Thursday afternoon when he found out in a text message from his agent he was being reunited with the Miami Heat.

The Heat traded a second-round pick in 2024 for Wade's second stint with the Heat, two years after he left the team following a run which led to three National Basketball Association titles.

Wade's wife, Gabrielle Union, gushed in an online video that they were heading back to South Florida.

"I wasn't planning on coming here until March, late March", Wade said with a smile on his face. He returns to Miami with the Heat on a five-game slide, one he helped contribute to when the Cavaliers beat his then-former, now-current club last week.

Black Ops 4 is reportedly Call of Duty's 2018 game
But the ultra-futuristic Infinite Warfare saw relatively low sales, so Black Ops 4 may pull back from similar sci-fi trappings. So it's not really a matter of if the company will announce a new Call of Duty for 2018-it's a matter of when.

Heat President Pat Riley said that in the beginning of this reunion, Wade will likely come off the bench.

"I've missed them and I know they've missed me", Wade said. Oh, that feels so good. I can't wait to get back on the court, I can't wait to put on that number 3 in a Miami Heat jersey. "I don't think you lose that".

The news didn't exactly catch him by surprise, but it definitely made the 36-year-old veteran and Heat legend happy.

In an exclusive interview with CBS4, Dwyane Wade Sr. says he knew something was up when he talked to his son Wednesday night. If I was watching something, he would say, 'What you doing?' I'd say, 'Checking the Miami score and different things like that'. "But I guess he was just letting know that he knew about it and we didn't that's all", said Wade Sr. It's Miami's only home game between now and February 24, and Wade doesn't want to make fans wait.
