Sam Allardyce slams Everton players for 'pathetic performance' in defeat to Arsenal

Walcott has hit the ground running with an assist and two goals in his first two Everton games

Angry Everton manager Sam Allardyce tore into his own players after their 5-1 mauling by Arsenal on Saturday (Feb 3), dismissing the result as a "disaster" and branding some performances "pathetic". "I think I have a lot of trouble with the players taking onto the pitch what we asked them to do", he told BT Sport.

'It's a lot to take in as a young kid when you're there still collecting your Match Attax stickers and all that stuff and you've got the players with you!' It was only on Tuesday night when they beat Arsenal, so we set out to play like that, but unfortunately Swansea played at the top of their game and we played at the bottom of our game.

The former England manager barely had a half decent word to say about any of his players' performances during the defeat, claiming that the players did not follow any of his tactical instructions. There are no easy negotiations with Arsenal, believe you me, but eventually the negotiations got to where we did and the insistence for the first time ever from Theo that he wanted to leave, plus the respect they have for each other and the service he gave, probably was a factor.

"Swansea only had 30% possession but created chances, but I may as well have been talking in a foreign language".

Kashmir Solidarity Day Observed In Balochistan
The prime minister said Pakistan was united with people of Kashmir for their right of self-determination. JUI-F leader Ghulam Ali said: " Road to South Asia peace passes through Kashmir".

"It doesn't matter what system I pick - it's about players playing to their best".

"So we'd been basing our plan on that, which is obvious when it's so soon". It is football, and whatever formation you play, or whichever personnel are in the team, you have to do your best. "You can show them but it's up to the players". "We have used different formations and won, so that is not an excuse".

Walcott scored over 100 goals for Arsenal, but is still carries a "what-might-have-been" feeling amongst Arsenal fans.
