England launch new 2018 home and away kits ahead of World Cup

Nike have released the new collection of England kits and related apparel that the men's national team will sport in the coming months and at the 2018 World Cup in Russian Federation.

Whilst the home World Cup kit will be the plain, clean dark green shirt; Nike got real funky on the away kit & other elements in the collection.

Super Eagles stars like John Mikel Obi, Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi and Kelechi Iheanacho were among senior national team players that reviewed the new designs, which also included those made for Nigerian fans on the video issued by Nike. The sleeves are white underneath black patterns.

"This is different, you know", Iwobi added, while Iheanacho added saying "you know I love black, so this is flawless".

"A constant in Nigeria is an endearing love of football", NFF President Amaju Pinnick, told Nike's official website. The new Nike kit designs honour our federation's rich traditions. "They are part of a resoundingly cool culture".

Nigeria have been pitted against Croatia, Iceland and Argentina in World Cup Group D.

The away kit, meanwhile, is a two-tone red kit with a tonal graphic depicting the St. George's Cross, harking back to the side's only World Cup win in 1966. They are expected to wear the jersey for the first time when they face Poland in a pre-World Cup friendly on March 23.
