Trump undecided on releasing memo on Federal Bureau of Investigation

Trump reportedly backed off when White House Counsel Donald McGahn threatened to resign, evoking for some observers memories of the 1973 Saturday Night Massacre, when President Richard Nixon ordered the firing of the Watergate special prosecutor, setting off a cascade of resignations of top White House officials, including the attorney general and deputy attorney general.

"I've got legislation protecting Mr. Mueller, and I'll be glad to pass it tomorrow", Sen.

"I don't think there's a need for legislation right now to protect Mueller", Rep. Kevin McCarthy of California, the House majority leader, said Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press".

Graham also appeared to brush aside the White House campaign to dismiss the probe as politically motivated and the president's denial that he tried to fire Mueller past year, as was reported by The New York Times and subsequently confirmed by other news organizations.

Collins said Sunday that the president can't directly fire Mueller, but that authority rests exclusively with Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who appointed Mueller as special counsel in May. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said on ABC's "This Week".

Collins, who sits on the Senate Intelligence Committee, also added that in her opinion, Trump, who has tweeted prolifically about the investigation for months, should "never" talk about the probe except in private with legal counsel.

The Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 + will be iterative updates to Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ and will have minor design changes. It is also reported that Galaxy S9 will be able to shoot slow motion Full HD videos at 480 frames per second.

Both Collins and Graham said they saw no sign that Trump is now trying to fire Mueller.

Trump, who has called the investigations a hoax and witch hunt, is inclined to release it, CNN has reported. And I think we'll just continue this investigation to see where it goes.

Last week, White House chief of staff John Kelly spoke directly to Attorney General Jeff Sessions, making clear the President's displeasure with the Justice Department's opposition to the memo's release.

What's a Sunday morning without a tweetstorm from President Donald Trump?
