Adrian Wojnarowski tweeted Monday afternoon: The Clippers and Pistons are engaged in serious talks on a deal centered on All-Star forward Blake Griffin, league sources tell ESPN.

Bringing in Bradley, of course, would effectively give Booker more to do offensively, pushing him toward a primary initiator role as the team's point guard.

So far, Detroit's asking price for Bradley, who is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent this summer, is significant, league sources said.

The NBA's trade deadline is February 8 at 3 p.m. He is a tough defender, like Johnson, and has a reasonable contract: $6.8 million this year, $7.3 million next season and $7.8 million in 2019-20.

It will be interesting to see how things play out around the deadline.

Los Angeles just recently signed Griffin to the largest contract in team history this past summer.

Newport avoided defeat against Spurs for the first time in their history, having previously lost all four meetings. Newport captain Joss Labadie and Ben White returned, while Matty Dolan was also back, but only on the bench.

The Phoenix Suns are planning on going after Detroit Pistons shooting guard Avery Bradley in free agency, according to 98.7 FM Arizona's Sports Station's John Gambadoro.

Bradley, 27, has been bothered by a groin injury, which caused him to miss seven straight games earlier in the season.

Detroit renounced the rights to restricted free agent Kentavious Caldwell-Pope upon acquiring Bradley in July, banking on a long-term partnership with Bradley.

The Pistons, who are three games back of the Sixers for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, have stumbled as of late, with 11 losses in their last 13 games, including eight losses in a row.

Crowder, like Bradley, played for the Celtics last season and has floated between roles as a starter and reserve with the Cavaliers.
