In a competitive situation with multiple outlets bidding, Apple has landed a 10-episode comedy series executive produced by and starring the Saturday Night Live grad.

The upcoming show has been inspired by "You Think It, I'll Say It" which is an upcoming short story by Curtis Sittenfeld. Not much else is known about the plot of the show, but 30 Rock alum Colleen McGuinness created the TV adaptation and will serve as showrunner and executive producer; Wiig is also credited as an executive producer on the project.

The role will mark Wiig's return to the television screen.

Apple has not said how viewers will be able to watch these shows. Hello Sunshine's Lauren Neustadter and Sittenfeld himself will also work as consulting producers on the project.

Almost 6 years after signing off from Saturday Night Live, Kristen Wiig is returning to TV!

Its tail feathers were asymmetrical, Dunham reports, a key aerodynamic trait that allows modern birds to steer while flying. For the most part, the pigment that was once present was long gone, but the physical structure of the melanosomes remained.

Wiig has embarked on a successful film career since leaving "SNL", including starring in, co-producing, and co-writing the box office hit comedy "Bridesmaids", for which she earned an Oscar nomination for best original screenplay.

The most interesting paycheck news, though, is what Big Little Lies' biggest stars - Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman - are being paid.

She will next be seen in Richard Linklater's "Where'd You Go, Bernadette", alongside Cate Blanchett and Billy Crudup. She and Jennifer Aniston will also star in a now untitled morning show drama for the streamer, and she will executive produce "Are You Sleeping", co-produced by Chernin Entertainment with Octavia Spencer attached to star.
