UK Sport is targeting "at least" five medals at the Winter Olympics, with four to 10 representing the target range.

Moreover, prime-time viewership for the 18-49 year-old age group at the 2016 Olympic Games was 25% lower compared with the Olympics four years earlier, according to Bloomberg.

Climate change could turn out to be the Winter Olympics' biggest spoil sport.

Taeyang's Olympic song was announced last June, but was released to coincide with increasing activities in South Korea ahead of the Olympics, including the torch relay, which has also featured Korean entertainers as torchbearers.

"We know that our goals for any Games are always ambitious", said UK Sport director of performance Chelsea Warr. It is high risk, it has high reward, it has high stakes in a very competitive arena.

Britain is not renowned as a winter sports nation.
