Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze Brings the Chill to Nintendo Switch in May

According to that broadcast, Nintendo will be porting Hyrule Warriors and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze over to the Switch this year. In the new Nintendo Mini-Direct, it was revealed that we can expect the game to come to the newer system in May.

The Nintendo Switch version of the game will contain the same content as the original Wii U game and introduces Funky Kong as new character.

While the buzz continues over UCF's National Championship, a new ranking was released that left the Knights in the No. 1 position. A future meeting of the teams would do nothing to change the outcome of 2017, but it'd still be fun, and fun things are good.

Originally released on the Wii U, the game lets players team up with buddies to master their moves, from Diddy Kong and his jet pack to the fresh addition of Dixie Kong and her spinning ponytail. In it, you will take control of Funky Kong, a character that has unique abilities like double jump, spin infinitely, float and swim better than anybody else. He can even survive spikes with his trusty surfboard. The game will run at 1080p in TV mode, and feature single Joy-Con split-screen local multiplayer as well. More information on the game will likely be coming soon, so be sure to stay tuned for that. Let us know what you are most excited about with this new release in the comments.
