Monster Hunter World gets one last beta before some great news

The trailer shows off three of the new and returning Elder Dragons from the game. But that's not all, as the video ends with a preview of one of the monsters that all owners of the game will receive periodically after launch.

The Kushala Daora is a steel dragon that can control storm clouds and is protected by thick metal plates. All are extremely formidable opponents.

Starting January 18 at 6 PM Pacific Standard Time, every PS4 player can play the already released Great Jagras, Anjanath, and Barroth quests in Monster Hunter: World. It'll feature a battle with Nergigante, an enormous and fearsome creature featured in the game's marketing materials.

Capcom announced during its special Monster Hunter: World live stream that Deviljho will be the first monster to be added via free DLC sometime this spring. New details pertaining to the beasts were revealed in a press release, the excerpt of which you can find below. It looks like it's certainly going to be worth holding tight for. Another monster introduced in the trailer is Dodogama, a rock-eating wyvern that possesses a unique saliva that causes rock to become explosive, a hazardous mix it will spit at its foes to warn off attackers. One mysterious monster was also seen exiting the carcasses of others, but not much is known about this one just yet.

First and foremost, a third PlayStation-exclusive beta was announced, and will start at 6PM PST on January 18 in the United States and 2AM GMT on January 19 in the UK.
