Reliance Jio intros new Rs.199 and Rs.299 prepaid plans

The company is delighted to launch the new Rs. 198 and Rs. 229 plans since it enable customers to remain connected via not only voice but also data. Under the Happy New Year 2018 offer, Jio unveiled Rs 199 and Rs 299 prepaid recharge plans. Customers can also get free and unlimited voice calls, local and STD, and roaming calls.

Jio had launched "Happy New Year" offer in 2016, couple of months after starting commercial operations, under which it offered 1 GB of data free for 90 days along with unlimited free calls and SMSes even during roaming along with access to Jio apps.

Jio introduced Rs 199 and Rs 299 plan over the weekend. That said, this offer is open to all new Vodafone customers irrespective of which handset they're using.

Vodafone has announced a new tariff plan for its prepaid users that offers 1 GB per data per day. Jio Rs 399 prepaid recharge planJio's prepaid recharge plan priced at Rs 399 comes with 70 GBs of high speed data for a validity period of 70 days.

Vodafone in a statement has said that this ₹198 prepaid plan is available across all the circles having Vodafone's 4G network, however, when we checked on Vodafone's website, it was actually unavailable in circles like Gujarat, Delhi-NCR, Punjab and Chennai. It also includes 100 free SMS per day. The Rs.309 plan, in fact, offers "only" 1GB of 4G data per day.

Airtel and Idea Cellular customers can also avail similar benefits for Rs 199 as the operators have added benefits to their respective plans.

On the other hand, Vodafone's Red postpaid plans are aimed at customers who have heavy calling demands. All plans of Jio comes with unlimited data usage after the daily data limit usage is over. However, the plan is valid for Vodafone new users. As for 2GB data per day, Airtel has a Rs 349 recharge offer, with 28 days validity period. The daily 4G data limit is 2GB.
