Meryl Streep has made a further statement about her ignorance over Harvey Weinstein's alleged decades of sexual misconduct after being accused of being willingly silent by victim Rose McGowan. I sat by that phone all day yesterday and this morning, hoping to express both my deep respect for her and others' bravery in exposing the monsters among us, and my sympathy for the untold, ongoing pain she suffers. I have never in my life been invited to his hotel. You'll accept a fake award breathlessly and affect no real change. Not everybody knew. Harvey supported the work fiercely, was exasperating but respectful with me in our working relationship, and with many others with whom he worked professionally.

McGowan was reacting to reports that a group of actresses will wear black on the red carpet of the 2017 Golden Globe Awards as part of a "silent protest" to condemn sexual harassment and rape in show business.

Some Hollywood women are planning to wear all black to the upcoming 75th annual Golden Globes on Januart 8 as a way to protest sexual harassment in their industry, People magazine reported. I despise your hypocrisy.

McGowan has moved on from her initial Saturday accusations, going back to tweeting support for women coming forward in the wake of assault allegations, and Streep has yet to comment on the now-deleted call out.

Although McGowan called out Streep, she hasn't confirmed if she plans to participate in any such protest.

3 children, mother die in Brooklyn house fire
The fire was reminiscent of a 2015 conflagration that killed seven children of another Orthodox Jewish family in Brooklyn. Friends and neighbors say the family was known to light menorah candles in celebration of Hanukkah .

The Oscar victor explained that Weinstein distributed movies she had made with other people and said "not every actor, actress, and director who made films that HW distributed knew" about his alleged wrongdoings. You actually gave me a body flashback.

Tamblyn responded to McGowan's tweet with a thread of her own, stating that while she supports McGowan's movement, "I do not support any woman (or man) shaming or taunting the movements of other woman who are trying to create change".

As an increasing number of individuals have been accused of misconduct, McGowan has frequently criticized either the industry's reaction or the individuals themselves, including Streep, Kevin Spacey, and Ben Affleck.

18, the award-winning actress has issued a statement in response to Rose McGowan's tweet.
