Akshay Kumar Radhika Apte starrer Padman new poster out

This year was a great one for him with films such as "Jolly LLB 2" and "Toilet: Ek Prem Katha" doing extremely well and raking in the huge moolah.

Produced by Twinkle Khanna's Mrs Funnybones Productions, PadMan also stars Sonam Kapoor.

The trailer for Padman is efficient and doesn't make any digressions, it just shows that Muruganatham was a man who, with the support of his wife and other strong women, tried to change the ways in which menstruation is understood.

Mumbai: The much-awaited trailer of Akshay Kumar-starrer "Padman" is finally unveiled and looks like the star will continue his winning streak at the box office with yet another socially relevant film.

Lufthansa scraps deal for Air Berlin's Niki
The Austrian transport ministry said it would repatriate any Niki passengers stranded overseas by cancelled flights. Those included some of the slots belonging to LG Walter, an Air Berlin subsidiary.

PadMan is the world's first feature film on menstrual hygiene based on the story of TIME Magazine's 100 Most Influential entrants Arunachalam Muruganantham, a rural welder from India turned incredible innovator and inventor, who was moved to provide women with access to high-quality and affordable sanitary pads 20 years ago.

We loved Radhika Apte in the film. The reason- he is anxious about the menstrual hygiene of women in his village even though the women themselves are ashamed to talk about it.

The trailer of Akshay's upcoming film "Pad Man" is out, and it gives a glimpse of the humorous and inspiring content in store.

In the film, Akshay plays the role of a simple villager who is on a mission to create a cheap and sustainable sanitary option that his wife and other women can use during their period. Akshay has a way of imparting significant and the important messages through engaging films. The movie is going to be released on 26 January 2018.
