Apple releases iOS 11.2.1 update, fixes a bug in HomeKit

After this update, the vulnerability is fully patched and remote access for shared users is secure.

Compared to previous iOS updates, iOS 11 seems to have been the most problematic, with the patience of even the most ardent of Apple fans being tested by what appears to be a never ending onslaught of software problems.

Apple recently released their iOS 11.2 update, this morning we heard about the new iOS 11.2.1 update and now there is the new iOS 11.2.5 beta 1. The update contains few improvements and a fix related to the Homekit remote access for shared users. Once downloaded, the update will restart the Apple TV once. This bug was responsible for giving unauthorised access in vulnerable circumstances. A support representative from the company stated that the only way to get the Apple Pay Cash back to the user's phone is to completely delete and restore all system files since the feature is part of the iOS software. The update is available for iPhone 5s and later, iPad Air and later and iPod touch 6th generation.

Apple's latest iOS 11 has been one of the buggiest updates to hit the iPhone and iPad. With the new updates, for both platforms, Apple has promptly restored access for all users. Meanwhile, over in beta land, Apple's beamed out the iOS 11.2.5, watchOS 4.2.2, and tvOS 11.2.5 developer beta, so watch out for those in the weeks ahead.
