4-yr-old girl inappropriately touched by classmate doctors confirm sexual assault

The mother has alleged that when the assault took place, the teacher and the helper in the washroom were absent. But, the girl started crying profusely at night and told her mother that her classmate had assaulted her using a pencil and his finger after unbuttoning her trousers in an empty classroom.

Hours after the girl continued to complain of the constant pain, she started crying, she broke her silence on the assault.

Accusing the school management of laxity, the parents have alleged that a school teacher and school coordinator, on being told about the incident, feigned ignorance and offered no concrete assistance.

The parents, after doctors confirmed sexual assault, went to the police to report the incident.

The police said they had registered a case under POCSO act, based on the complaint made by the girl's mother in which she stated that her daughter was allegedly sexually assaulted by a boy in her class.

Dependra Pathak, the Delhi Police chief spokesperson, said, "The Indian Penal Code provides children below seven years of age certain protections against prosecutions". The girl, who was nearby, listening to her mother talk to this correspondent, said meekly, "I want to become a witch so that I can kick the boy like a ball".

According to the police, the minor victim was sexually assaulted by her classmate in the school's classroom as well as the bathroom in the absence of staff. A police case was then registered. "We are examining those provisions even as we are handling the matter with the highest degree of sensitivity". "I have taught my daughter to understand touch, and that's why she could tell me all that", the mother said. She also approached the school authorities, but instead of cooperating they asked her to give a written complaint about the incident on Monday.

The school authorities, however, denied the allegations of negligence and non-cooperation in the complaint filed by the mother. We are also looking for CCTV footage or if anything was captured. Is there a possibility of a sexual need being fulfilled in his case?
