Andreas Christensen was given the nod ahead of Luiz against United and the Danish impressed one and all with his performance, as Chelsea went on to win the game 1-0.

DAVID LUIZ still managed to smile - despite Antonio Conte plunging his Chelsea future into doubt. To add to it, Nemanja Matic was sold to Manchester United against his wish and all this has lead to the rumours of Conte being unhappy with the Blues.

Alvaro Morata scored the only goal of the game at Stamford Bridge as Conte's men recovered from a disappointing midweek loss in Rome to clinch a hard-fought home win.

His response, when asked if Luiz had a Chelsea future, appeared pretty inflammatory. It's only a tactical decision.

"Christensen came in yesterday and played very, very well indeed in a massive game". Another young player. A really good player for the present and the future. It's normal. I repeat: I have to put my face in every situation, and then to sometimes make important decisions. Very simple. The coach has to make the best decision for the team, and tonight the best decision for the team was to play with Christensen and to have, on the bench, [Ethan] Ampadu.

StarCraft II goes free-to-play on November 14th
The solo campaign for StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty will continue the epic saga where it left off in StarCraft: Brood War . First off, the entire StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty single-player campaign will be playable for free.

Abramovich had been a driving force behind the decision to re-sign Luiz last summer and regards the Brazilian as a world-class defender, but that did not influence Conte's decision.

The exchange followed the 3-0 Champions League defeat to Roma.

"Maybe in the future I can decide a different way, or continue in this way". I must take the best decision for the club, not for a single player. Sometimes I can make mistakes.

"I'd be happy to eat humble pie if I'm wrong - and there's part of me that will be pleased if I am because I've a lot of respect for the guy".

Yes, reporters were probably right to sniff a bit of blood in the water at Luiz's demotion not to the bench, but to the stands. "I try to do this".
