Allegations surrounding the uranium deal resurfaced this past week when The Hill reported the FBI was investigating the donations and did not inform Congress. "Me and President Obama, we are the ones they like to put in the crosshairs", Clinton said.

Northeast Florida Congressman Ron DeSantis sits on the House Oversight Committee, which is conducting a joint investigation along with the House Intelligence Committee. Lawmakers hope to discover whether the U.S. government was investigating Kremlin-linked Rosatom at the time American officials greenlighted its purchase of Canadian uranium mining company Uranium One.

In launching this new investigation, Nunes is adding congressional muscle to a right-wing narrative that has cast Clinton as cozying up to Russian Federation.

The Hill further alleged that the Federal Bureau of Investigation had found evidence that the Russian official who oversaw Russian President Vladimir Putin's "nuclear expansion inside the US" had been engaging in bribery and extortion.

Asked whether it was appropriate for him to be investigating Russia-related matters after his recusal in April due to ethics concerns over his ties to the White House, Nunes asked reporters to re-read his statement and "stop referring" to his recusal.

The House Judiciary Committee also launched an investigation with the oversight panel into Obama's Justice Department and Democrat Hillary Clinton's emails. It will be two different committees looking into this.

Tamil movie Mersal dialogues snowball into a major controversy
The controversial scene itself speaks about how the government has failed its people even after levying high amount of taxes. SG Suryah, a leader from Tamil Nadu BJP said in a series of tweets. " Mersal was certified.

The move gave Rosatom control of 20 percent of United States uranium stockpiles, and was decided after Uranium One made several donations to the Clinton Foundation of former president Bill Clinton.

In 2010, Rosatom, Russia's state-owned nuclear energy company, looked to acquire a majority stake in Uranium One after buying a 17% share in the company a year earlier.

Nunes said the first goal of the investigation, for which the Intelligence Committee is partnering with the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, is to determine whether there was "actually an open FBI investigation or not".

Nunes also reportedly added that he's spent weeks talking to "informants" on the subject, but the White House has nothing to do with his quest.

Clinton herself on Monday described the controversy as "baloney" that has "been debunked repeatedly". The 2010 deal required approval from the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States - which included input from the State Department, then overseen by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. "But even then, it ultimately would have been Obama's decision whether to suspend or block the deal".
