Roy Price resigned as the head of Amazon.com Inc.'s movie and TV studio after a TV producer detailed her allegation of sexual harassment in a news report.

The posts came hours after producer Isa Hackett claimed Roy Price inappropriately propositioned her in the back of taxi in 2015. In Price's absence, Amazon Studios COO Albert Cheng was named interim president, and sources say he is expected to remain in the role has head of the studio.

Amazon Studios picked up three Oscars this year under Price's helm, though its failure to show at the Emmy Awards last month was seen by many in Hollywood as a setback. An Amazon spokesman confirmed the resignation Tuesday and had no additional comment.

But Price's wedding has already been a casualty.

Variety has also reported that Price has resigned.

Hackett did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

North Korea's threats 'strengthen Australia's resolve' - Julie Bishop
" North Korea's threats only strengthen our resolve to find a peaceful solution to the rising tensions on the Korean Peninsula", stated Australian Foreign Affairs Minister Julie Bishop .

At the time, Amazon said it took the allegation seriously, but did not announce anything like a leave of absence. That report did not contain the details that appeared in THR.

The allegations surfaced as revelations of decades of alleged abuse of women by mogul Harvey Weinstein flooded Hollywood.

He said on Twitter that McGowan claimed she told Price about the alleged rape but had been told it "hadn't been proven".

Hackett is the daughter of famed science fiction author Philip K. Dick, whose book The Man in the High Castle served as the basis for Amazon's eponymous show.

Meanwhile, Amazon suspended Price and said it would review its projects with The Weinstein Company.
