Vikings Beat Packers 23-10, Tie for Division Lead

Aaron Rodgers Leaves Game With Shoulder Injury

Aaron Rodgers Leaves Game With Shoulder Injury

The Minnesota Vikings knocked Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers out of the game on Sunday with a broken collarbone, before defeating their NFC North divisional rivals 23-10.

Third-year quarterback Brett Hundley threw his first career touchdown pass in relief, connecting with Davante Adams in the second quarter after a 63-yard return by Clay Matthews of Jerick McKinnon's fumble gave the Packers the ball at the 18. The Packers had five first downs and 102 yards over the first three quarters.

Now, if Rodgers does miss the rest of the season, the Eagles presumably have one less team to worry about as they fight for playoff positioning.

Navorro Bowman reportedly being shopped
Bowman then tore his Achilles tendon early last season and missed most of the year before coming back again this year. Here we look at how the 49ers came to release Bowman and what it means for him and San Francisco going forward.

Rodgers will be missed, as shown last week when he rallied the Packers to a dramatic victory against Dallas. He missed seven games in the 2013 season after suffering a similar injury versus Chicago when he broke his left (non-throwing) collarbone.

At 5-1, the Eagles now have the best record in the NFC, but the Packers were not far behind entering Sunday at 4-1. The journeyman backup managed to pull out a tie against the Vikings in relief of Tolzien and then went 2-2 as a starter before Rodgers returned for the regular-season finale. Former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who has had some of his biggest games against the Packers, is the most notable free-agent QB, but he might not be a good fit in Green Bay. He'll be asked to keep the Packers alive while Rodgers returns from another broken collarbone. "Rodgers is the best, but we still have to go out there and contain and play sound football". Strong safety Morgan Burnett is out with a hamstring injury, as are both starting cornerbacks Davon House (quadriceps) and Kevin King (concussion).

The Packers have relied heavily on Rodgers all season.
