The teaser reminds us that if we thought 1983 was a unusual year for the residents of Hawkins, all we need to do is look at what happened to the entire world in 1984: the Soviet Union boycotted the Olympic games, Coca Cola (unsuccessfully) attempted to rebrand itself as "New Coke", Frankie Goes To Hollywood told us all to "Relax", and those tiny, dastardly creatures you can't feed after midnight known as Gremlins hit the big screen. For example, in the new season we'll see the young stars dressed up as Ghostbusters.

Stranger Things 2 is ushering in its final trailer on Friday the 13th before the sophomore season debuts at the end of the month. The final trailer also shows us more of Will's mom (Winona Ryder), new kid on the block Max (Sadie Sink) and the triumphant return of Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown).

Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott's ban to start Week 7, likely to appeal
A federal appeals court ruled in favor of the NFL's six-game suspension of former Buckeye Ezekiel Elliott on Thursday. Prosecutors in Columbus, Ohio, decided not to pursue the case, citing conflicting evidence .

Stranger Things season 2 is set about a year after the events of the first season and finds the reunited friends trying to get their lives back to normal. And we should be especially anxious for Will, who is having nightmares about something else and no one seems to know what's wrong with him. Creators/showrunners The Duffer Brothers have described the nine-episode second season as more of a sequel than a new season, and indeed that's kind of the theme of this one last trailer. After Will's (Noah Schepp) return from the Upside Down, he hasn't been the same, and neither has the town, which is being haunted by bigger and badder monsters. which seem to be of his making.

The season 2 soundtrack hits digital shelves October 20 and if you want to take a stab at your own synth experiment, head over to Synthier Things, a website that allows the viewer to manipulate the Stranger Things main theme via a web-browser modulator.
