2 LeT terrorists killed in encounter in Pulwama J&K

A top Lashkar-e-Taiba militant, Waseem Shah, believed to be the main architect of unrest a year ago in south Kashmir, was killed along with his accomplice in an encounter early on Saturday morning by the security forces in Pulwama district, police said. Two terrorists - Waseem Shah and Nisar Ahmed Mir - have been killed and the security forces have recovered an AK-47 and an AK-56 along with 6 Avtomat Kalashnikova or AK magazines.

While the police said that civilian was killed in the crossfire between the security forces and the holed up militants, the locals alleged that he was deliberately targeted by the security forces. Of the 12, seven have been killed in security force operations in last three months.

As the security personnel closed in on their hide-out, the militants opened fire triggering the gunfight. "He had joined militant ranks in March 2014 and used to recruit new cadres into LeT", he said.

A college dropout, Waseem Shah, was a resident of Heff-Shrimal in Shopian district.

Trump Has a New Nickname for His New Enemy
President Donald Trump is growing increasingly frustrated and isolated as his presidency approaches the one year mark. Corker said that aides spend every day trying to contain the president's erratic behavior.

The protesters raised high-pitched anti-India and pro-freedom slogans.

The J&K top cop further revealed that one civilian died and one other was injured in the cross firing between terrorist and security forces during the operation in Pulwama. Mir succumbed to injuries at a hospital here.

"A joint operation was launched by the army, police and the CRPF".

As the clashes are continued in the district, the authorities have suspended mobile and internet services to prevent people from sharing information. However, no arrests were reported.
