While the modern styling of current Land Rovers is deserving of praise and we can see the Range Rover Velar potentially being slimmed down into an even smaller vehicle, the proportions of the Jaguar XE don't blend with the Velar very well. Mating a 221kW 2-litre Ingenium turbopetrol engine to a centrally-mounted 85kW electric motor, the newcomer boasts combined system outputs of 297kW and 640Nm and can, according to claims, sprint from 0-100km/h in just 6.7 seconds. According to Land Rover, the plug-in hybrid does zero-to-60 miles per hour in 6.3 seconds (0-100 km/h in 6.7 seconds) and has a top speed of 137 miles per hour (220 km/h).

"For the first time Australian customers will experience zero-emission near-silent on and off-road luxury without compromising any off-road capability, Jaguar Land Rover Australia managing director Matthew Wiesner said".

Some mid-life facelifts are more significant than others, and the Range Rover Sport is getting a comprehensive round of updates for 2018.

"These 2018 updates make the Range Rover Sport an even more attractive proposition with Carbon dioxide emissions down to 64g/km and a 101mpg on the combined cycle coupled with new infotainment technology making life simpler".

Visuals posted on social media by passengers and their friends showed extensive damage to the front of the outer starboard engine. Their version of the craft uses GP7200 engines, a giant turbofan built by General Electric and Pratt and Whitney of the US.

The Sport hybrid enjoys full-time four-wheel drive and can be driven either in hybrid mode, where the electric motors assists its petrol-powered colleague, or in full EV mode, where the vehicle runs exclusively on the energy that's been stored up in the battery. There is also the EV (electric vehicle) mode enabling the vehicle to run exclusively on the electric motor using energy stored in the battery.

The nipped and tucked Range Rover Sports are available to order now, with the line-up starting at £61,315 for the 2.0-litre "SD4" diesel, rising to £99,680 for the SVR. Expect pricing for the Range Rover Sport P400e to be announced closer to its launch. The Sport also gets a nip and tuck on the outside, with a new radiator grille, fresh LED matrix headlights and redesigned bumpers.

The new vehicle gets a 296bhp petrol engine teamed up with a 114bhp electric motor, for a combined power rating of 398bhp and 472lb ft torque, and will cost from £70,800-£84,400 depending on the trim level you go for. With a fast-charging 32 amp wall box, it'll recharge in two hours and 45 minutes.

"Our efficient diesel and petrol engines are our cleanest ever and remain utterly relevant today on our journey to electrification". The refreshed lineup goes on sale in early 2018. There are also 12 power points inside and two domestic plug sockets.
