Shah pointed out that more than 120 BJP and RSS workers were killed in Kerala, of which 80 murders took place after Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's assumed power. Kannur, the site of particularly bloody clashes, is the CM's home district.

Meanwhile, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, the vice president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, in his statement to the press said that those who are responsible for these killings in Kerela are running a parallel system that to the government and they are running it above the constitutional system.

The news reports of Adityanath's Kerala visit come hours after BJP chief Amit Shah announced a two-week "padyatra" in the state from Wednesday against the CPM's alleged targeting of his party's workers. Janaraksha March campaigns against Marxist and Jihadi terrorism prevailing in Kerala, and also exposes the anti-national activities in the state. "We will use democratic means to answer its violence", said Javadekar.

The party will stage a protest march to CPI-M head office in Delhi tomorrow and hold agitational programmes in all State headquarters all over the country from October 4 to 17, he added.

Many in the BJP thus view it as a direct challenge to the CPI (M)'s most powerful leader. "We are starting the march from Kannur because it is the Chief Minister's home district".
