A magnitude 3.4 tremor was detected in North Korea, China's natural disaster agency said, while a South Korean weather agency said it was not triggered artificially.

The latest quake was recorded at a depth of 0km in North Hamgyong province, home to the Punggye-ri nuclear site, South Korea's meteorological agency says.

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) said the quake struck around 20 kilometres (12 miles) away from the North's nuclear test site, where earlier this month Pyongyang detonated its sixth and largest device, which it claimed to be a hydrogen bomb capable of being launched onto a missile.

The Chinese state news agency, Xinhua, said on Twitter that natural disaster was detected "at roughly the same site as [the] shallow quake on September 3 that was caused by [a] nuclear test".

However, the agency has said it has not detected any man-made sound waves and the initial view was that it was a natural tremor.

The US Geological Survey measured a magnitude 3.5 natural disaster struck at 4:29 a.m. ET Saturday 22 kilometers (more than 13 miles) east-northeast of Sungjibaegam, North Korea.

"We can not deny the possibility it may fly over our country", he said. Its initial view was that it was a natural quake. US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin also said banks doing business in North Korea would not be allowed to operate in the United States.

The Pentagon said B-1B bombers from Guam, along with F-15C Eagle fighter escorts from Okinawa, Japan, flew in global airspace over waters east of North Korea on Saturday.

He went on: "Providing an innovative service must not be at the expense of customer safety and security". Mr Khan said in a Facebook (NasdaqGS: FB - news ) post that he fully supported TfL's decision.

Satellite photos of the area after the 3 September quake showed numerous landslides, apparently caused by the blast, which North Korea said was an advanced hydrogen bomb. He said North Korea might conduct an H-bomb test with a medium-range or intercontinental ballistic missile, given its recent advances in missile and nuclear weapons development.

On Friday, North Korea threatened to "sink" Japanese islands with nuclear weapons, adding that "Japan is no longer needed to exist near us".

The Chinese Commerce Ministry said in a statement on its website that exports of refined petroleum to Pyongyang will be limited to 2 million barrels a year effective October 1.

Pointing-out at a nuclear-tipped missile over the Pacific Ocean would be a logical final step by North Korea to prove the success of its weapons program but would be extremely provocative and carry huge risks, arms control experts said on Friday.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has lashed out as world leaders have tightened the screws on his regime in Pyongyang over its nuclear programme and repeated missile tests.

It's not clear yet whether this was a natural quake or the result of a nuclear test. The head of the diplomacy of north korea, Ri Yong Ho, denounced him at the united nations that the remarks made this week by Donald Trump against his country, calling the american president " deranged person", "megalomaniac" and " king liar ".

Tensions between the United States and North Korea have escalated over the last two months, with leaders of both nations trading insults and threats of of destruction.
