This is the first drone attack since US President Donald Trump announced his new Afghan policy and also criticised Pakistan for providing safe havens to terrorists.

A hardline religious scholar from Pakistan has said that the Afghan Taliban would support Pakistan against any kind of foreign aggression, Pakistani media reported on Thursday.

At least three people were killed and two others injured when USA pilotless aircraft fired missiles along Pakistan Afghanistan border, local Urdu media reported on Friday.

Baseer Khan Wazir, the most senior administrator in the Kurram Agency region of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), said the drone strike took place close to the border with Afghanistan.

"Two rockets were dropped on Molloy's house and three people were killed", the minister said.

Brighton travel to Bournemouth for Friday night clash
Eddie Howe says he has been shocked by Bournemouth's dismal start. "Although, we don't want to take our foot off the gas". After four games, Bournemouth are still looking for their first win of the season and sit 19th in the table.

The US-led worldwide forces in Afghanistan had no immediate information on the strike.

The aircraft fired two missiles at the hideout of Taliban commander Maulvi Mohib who was among the killed.

This is the third drone strike in the country since the beginning of this year. In its last high-profile attack inside Pakistan, the United States had in May 2016 killed Afghan Taliban leader Mullah Akhtar Mansour in Balochistan. "It was not clear how those religious leaders are different from the Afghan Taliban", the Dawn said.

Ties between Washington and Islamabad have frayed in recent years amid USA counter-terrorism efforts along the Afghan-Pakistani border and the secret US raid that killed al-Qaeda leader, Osama bin Laden.
