However, bays and canals drained by Hurricane Irma's intense storm system were exactly the threats facing Florida's aquatic wildlife over the weekend, including manatees. The Daytona Beach Shores Department of Public Safety posted a picture on its Facebook page of an injured pelican rescued by officers Sunday afternoon.

"We actually reached out to some friends who work for the county that ended up going out there and rescuing them", Michael Sechler, one of the passersby who discovered the manatees, told HuffPost.

Clavijo said they got the manatees onto a tarp and dragged them 100 feet. Between law enforcement officials and a group of citizens, the manatees - stranded, of course, in Manatee County - were rescued and carried back into deeper water, Fox 13 reported.

Clavijo posted a video on Facebook showing the team of rescuers struggling to move one of the big manatees with their basic tools. "My friends and I couldn't move these massive animals ourselves, and we called every service we could think of, but no one answered", said Sechler. "At the same time, some locations may be experiencing the effects of the hurricane 'bulge.' In the center of the storm, where the pressure is lowest and winds are converging, water piles up", writes Angela Fritz, an atmospheric scientist and deputy weather editor at The Washington Post.

"[We] said "1-2-3" and pulled them back to the channel".

Normally a safe place for manatees to float, several sea cows were left stranded before they knew what was happening. "We couldn't just let those manatees die out there".

"It shows what people can do when they come together".

Moments after the restart, the Reds won a corner, and Rashford inadvertently headed the equalizer from the resulting set piece. When commenting on the first goal he said: 'It was a wonderful cross for their opener but Bailly could have done much better.
