Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has told The Times that leaving Arsenal was the hardest decision of his life, but Jurgen Klopp would give him a "kick up the backside" at Liverpool. "But at the end of the day, he is 29 years old in December, he knows his football years are counted at that level, especially with the evolution of the game now, so you have to enjoy every minute".

Oxlade-Chamberlain has also spoken of his wish to ditch the defensive responsibilities he was lumbered with having spent the last part of his Gunners career in a wing-back role he confessed he wasn't a fan of.

"Their defence isn't 100 per cent, so they'll definitely concede, but I just reckon they have a little too much".

Sealing a move for Oxlade-Chamberlain was one of two key pieces of deadline-day business for Liverpool, the other of which was retaining the services of Philippe Coutinho.

"Even when he was at [Borussia] Dortmund, you see these things from the outside when you look at managers and the way they work", he added.

Liverpool usually operate with a three-man midfield and it's believed the high intensity style could suit Oxalde-Chamberlain. Have they been tapped up?

Israeli Jets Reportedly Strike Syrian Military Positions Near Masyaf: Two Dead
Hezbollah is fighting Daesh in Iraq and Syria and rebels who want to overthrow Bashar al Assad's regime in Syria. The reported attack took place on the 10th anniversary of Israel's destruction of a nuclear reactor in Syria.

"You're not naive enough to believe that". "I'll miss the first few games but I'm sure the lads will put us into a great position".

Coutinho hasn't played for Liverpool this season while being the subject of three huge offers from Barcelona, and even lodged a transfer request in early August in an attempt to force through a move to the Spanish side. I don't think that should stop you to perform.

"It's a club I've admired for years, the players that have been here and now the manager".

"I just think the way the team plays suits him, with his power and his speed, combined with the ability he has got".

Roberto Firmino may not be as ruthless in front of goal as Daniel Sturridge, but his positional play and pressing makes him invaluable to Klopp's setup and the first choice to lead the attacking line.

"Where he's going to play..."
