Todd Gurley admits fantasy football comments get 'annoying'

With his fast rise and status as the Rams' best defensive player, Donald was severely underpaid heading into the season, with two years left on his rookie contract.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Donald and the Rams have yet to agree to a new contract and will continue negotiations.

It's yet to be seen how much money Donald will get via the holdout, but the fact that he's reported to the team is an indication that the Rams and Donald's camp are having talks head into the right direction.

Donald did not participate in off-season workouts at the Rams training facility in Thousand Oaks.

Donald will be on the Rams' active roster Sunday despite not playing.

Donald, who is in the fourth year of his rookie contract, is set to earn around $1.8 million this season. He has made the Pro Bowl in each of the previous three seasons, and has been named first-team All-Pro in 2015 and 2016. The quicker Donald can line up against opposing linemen, the sooner Wade Phillips' 3-4 scheme can be truly implemented and reach its full potential in La La Land.

For the last several weeks, the Los Angeles Rams have had the cloud of star defensive tackle Aaron Donald holding out in favor of landing a new long-term deal.

The Rams host Washington next weekend, and McVay has said Donald will play whenever he is able to contribute, even if it isn't on every snap.
