Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold bilateral talks on Tuesday.

Leaders attending the ninth BRICS Summit here have reached extensive consensus on the worldwide situation, global governance and cooperation among the five-emerging economies, Xi Jinping told the media at the end of the Summit.

Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa make up the BRICS grouping.

Modi said, "India's deveploment partnership projects are providing water, electricity, roads, healthcare, tele-medicine, and basic infra in dozens of countries".

They also need to forge chains of interconnected development and seek strength in unity, the Chinese president continued. The Doklam border standoff and reported clashes between the Chinese and Indian army had strained diplomatic ties between the two countries. China also has been repeatedly blocking efforts by India at the United Nations to designate the Jaish e Mohd Chief, Masood Azhar, a terrorist.

The world media awaits with anticipation at this possible meeting between the two leaders, as it comes after the tense 73-day standoff at the Doklam region.

President Moon Jae In said his country would not allow its neighbour to continue to advance its nuclear and missile technologies. Speaking outside the White House, he added: "We are not looking to the total annihilation of a country, namely North Korea".

The BRICS group on Monday expressed its grave concern about the level of violence being inflicted by the Taliban and other terrorist groups in Afghanistan. While India had officially said that border troops from both sides had "dis-engaged", China had publicly announced that Indian troops had backed away. "Details of the meeting we will release in due course", he said.

In a resolution issued by attendees of the latest BRICS summit, leaders promised to work toward the development of a low-emissions global, sustainable economy.

On his part, Xi said "healthy and stable relations" between China and India were in line with the fundamental interests of their people.

Modi had visited Myanmar in 2014 to attend the ASEAN- India Summit.

Globalization has met the biggest crisis as leading nations are setting globalization back, but developing countries can not survive without globalization as they continue their development process, Wu said. The BRICS leaders blamed Pakistan run terror outfits - Haqqani network, Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), TTP and Hizb ut-Tahrir - for disrupting peace and harmony. They are Egypt, Kenya, Tajikistan, Mexico and Thailand.
