Mauricio Pochettino: Lack of concentration, not venue, cost Spurs two points

It should have settled the Tottenham jitters but with last season's Golden Boot victor Harry Kane struggling to end his August jinx - he has never scored for Tottenham in the month - they could not kill off Sean Dyche's side.

In their two "home" games so far this season they have been beaten by Chelsea followed by Sunday's draw with Burnley.

"We showed a lack of concentration at the end and that is hard to accept". If you remember the games that we played against Burnley at White Hart Lane, it was always very tough.

Tottenham remain hopeful that club-record signing Davinson Sanchez will receive a work permit in time to feature in Sunday's Premier League clash with Burnley.

"I'm disappointed how we conceded the goal, disappointed because we showed a lack of concentration at the end".

"But in the end when you are able to score to make it 1-0 and you have the chances to kill the game you must do it". Alli managed to put the ball into the back of the net at the second attempt of asking after a good cross from Christian Eriksen was flicked onto the midfielder's path by Eric Dier.

"I thought we actually handled the occasion well because it is a fantastic stadium, an unbelievable place against a very good side as well".

After the upsetting 2-3 defeat at home to Burnley in the season opener, the Blues pulled off a 2-1 victory over Tottenham last weekend.

The England striker missed a header and saw a close-range shot blocked in the first half, and could have had a hat-trick after the break but for two fine Tom Heaton saves and one wayward finish.

Kane's blank in that contest means that he has now reached unlucky 13 when it comes to August outings without a goal.

"The way that today we conceded the goal, it wasn't the problem with Wembley".
