All Blacks coach Steve Hansen backs Wallabies as 'great side'

Australia have been dealt an injury blow ahead of the second Bledisloe Cup Test against New Zealand at Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin, with Adam Coleman ruled out after re-aggravating a shoulder problem at training.

Also at stake in the match is the Bledisloe Cup, contested annually by New Zealand and Australia, and now held by the All Blacks since 2003.

"It's definitely come into conversation but the way in which we achieve that goal is by smaller steps".

Genia reclaimed the lead in the 66th with a try that put the Wallabies ahead 22-21. "We had to dig deep".

"We certainly touched on (Meads) through the week, talked about him in our clubrooms this week and we're obviously playing a great tribute to him on our jersey tomorrow night".

Is that more luck or the added pressure from the Wallabies?

The giant lock tried to force it down with three Wallabies defenders under him but the TMO ruled there wasn't clear evidence of the grounding and the score remained 17-14 to the Wallabies with 25 minutes to play.

The response to the console has been "overwhelming", with stock at several top retailers selling out right away in many countries. It would also be a great deal easier to play with more of your friends, regardless of which console they have the game on.

Scoring five tries apiece, only the Hurricanes-based playmaker's superior goalkicking to Australian counterpart Bernard Foley separated the sides.

The Wallabies' attack was also enormously improved and their performance is likely to have lifted some of the gloom that has hung over Australian rugby after the poor performance of their Super Rugby teams this season and a series of administrative crises.

"But in his core roles he was outstanding and played a big part in turning the game around, because the scrum was a massive part in how we got back into it".

"Like we're dreaming? I think no one [expects us to do anything] to be honest", Cheika said.

While some of that might be true, it didn't bother the Wallabies as they stood in a pyramid formation mirroring the All Blacks as they performed the haka. If they can somehow upset New Zealand's rhythm they may be able to make a competition of this. Soon after though, they were sprung, as Aaron Smith snuck through from the base of a scrum to bridge the gap to three points at the half.

Australia would have been 24-7 up after half an hour had Foley not missed two conversion attempts and a penalty. "There were things during the game that could have changed the course of it and then the last bit, those three minutes, we should have got hold of that ball and kept it at all costs".

After Beale's try, the All Blacks seemed down and out but again found the capacity to rebound, instantly making the winning try for Barrett.
