Buffalo Bills' Anquan Boldin warms up before a preseason NFL football game against the Minnesota Vikings Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017, in Orchard Park, N.Y.

Boldin signed with the Buffalo Bills earlier this month but after just 13 days he made a decision to hang 'em up.

"My life's objective is bigger than football", Boldin said in a statement, emphasizing his desire to focus on humanitarian efforts. He has become an advocate for criminal justice reform since his cousin was killed by a plain-clothes police officer along the side of a Florida highway in October 2015.

"It's kind of shocking for me to say that because football is something that I've dedicated my life to".

Boldin's retirement statement to ESPN's Jim Trotter cited his humanitarian work as his reason for leaving the game, but it is hard to believe Boldin completely ignored the short-term direction of the Bills in making his decision to walk away.

State official Arvind Kumar said two of the coaches had telescoped into one another, while four others toppled onto their sides. India has the world's fourth biggest rail network and crashes are common due to poor maintenance of the vast network.

"Me signing when I did had nothing to do with anything other than trying to make sure that my family was ok, make sure that my family was on board with what was going on", he said. It was when he emotionally got into opponent after opponent - Boldin wasn't the biggest guy on the field, but he was nearly always the baddest dude. The two receivers were supposed to give quarterback Tyrod Taylor a boost heading into this season, so of course the Bills were excited.

However, none of those teams expressed interest and that's what led Boldin to the Bills. He has 1,076 receptions (ninth on the league's all-time list) for 13,779 yards (14th) and 82 touchdowns (23rd).

He played seven seasons in Arizona before being traded to the Baltimore Ravens in 2010 where he won a Super Bowl. During his senior season at East Carolina, Jones tallied a ridiculous 158 catches for 1,746 yards and eight touchdowns.

As anthem protests and demonstrations around the league are calling attention to the social platform NFL players have, Boldin's chose to focus all his attention on leveraging that platform.
