So when an inmate asked a young and inexperienced jailer to let him into his cell, the jailer opened the outside door instead.

In a press conference on Monday, Sheriff James Underwood said the inmates used peanut butter to escape the facility.

"He should have been more cautious about it", Underwood said, admitting that the employee "made a mistake".

He said the only person seriously hurt in the entire escape incident was an inmate who sliced his thumb climbing over a razor-wire fence.

"This one time we slipped up".

The sheriff describes the tricked worker as being young. It was a human error that caused this to happen.

Two had been jailed on attempted murder allegations, and police offered a $500 reward for information leading to an arrest.

It also imposes restrictions on anyone involved in Iran's ballistic missile program and those who do business with them. The measure would apply terrorism sanctions to the country's Revolutionary Guards and enforce an arms embargo.

A manhunt continued for the last fugitive, Bradley Andrew Kilpatrick, 24, of Cordova, who had been jailed on charges of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

They enjoyed some PB&J - as in peanut butter and jailbreak.

The man still missing is 26-year-old Brady Kilpatrick.

Underwood said the smooth criminals will face additional charges as a result of the escape, but did not say what will happen to the guard.

"It happens. Escapes happen", Underwood said.

He added: "So we got some evil people down here, and they scheme all the time to con us and our employees here at the jail". You've got to stay on your toes. Off-duty personnel have been enlisted to help in the search.

The sheriff did acknowledge the jail needed improvements, including more monitors and cameras.
