Ravens Sign Arena League QB Instead Of Colin Kaepernick; Internet Reacts

Ravens sign'camp arm quarterback David Olson

The Ravens needed another quarterback in training camp after learning starter Joe Flacco would miss at least a week of training camp with a back injury. It's really been a pleasure to talk to him and get to know him. That is, of course, not exactly the most impressive resume possible, but he did help lead his indoor football team to success.

The uncertainty of quarterback Joe Flacco's back situation with the Baltimore Ravens could create an environment where Colin Kaepernick is regarded as a potential answer somewhere down the line.

Backup quarterback Ryan Mallett once again practiced with the first-team offense and Dustin Vaughan worked with the second-team.

But with starting quarterback Flacco out for up to six weeks with a back injury, Kaepernick is now in the frame.

Former Irmo quarterback David Olson who received just a few snaps in his onseason at Clemson in 2014 has signed with the Baltimore Ravens.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh joked that the team isn't taking any chances that its plays, formations and trick plays will make their way to their AFC North rivals.

In a recent update, it had listed Paint as a feature that would be either removed or no longer developed. The 32-year-old app is arguably one of the simplest yet powerful artistic software available till date.

As 49ersWebZone noted, Olson will likely fill the role of training camp arm until Flacco is healthy enough to return, sending Kaepernick back to the free agency heap.

"I like history and politics too, and we've had some debates, and it's been fun". Current Ravens assistant coach Greg Roman was the Niners' offensive coordinator when Kaepernick was on the team. He's a guy right now that's being talked about. It will all be speculation right now. "He's an accomplished football player, and we always like having good football players".

Harbaugh disputed the idea of Kaepernick being blackballed, however.

If you've been living under a rock - San Francisco released Kaepernick after a mediocre season (2,241 yards, 16 touchdowns, four interceptions) and most assume the 6-year NFL vet isn't being signed because of his decision to kneel during the national anthem. He also ran for 468 yards and two touchdowns.

Early in the offseason, I wanted to believe that National Football League teams were just playing things a little safe, keeping their options open and not necessarily considering Kaepernick for a starting spot.
