The National Centre for Transgender Equality called Trump's announcement an "egregious attack" on the the 15,000 transgender people now serving in the United States military.

The announcement reverses an Obama-era policy that allowed transgender troops to serve openly in the military. In a reply to this, Trump shook his head, pointed at a student and responded, "You go ahead, she's very rude".

Donald Trump views the presidency as a "dictatorship", Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol said Wednesday following the president's announcement of a ban on transgender people serving in the military.

Trump said he made the decision after consulting with unnamed general and experts.

A major change in military policy may soon be set in motion as President Trump announced on Twitter transgender individuals will no longer be allowed to serve in the us military in any capacity.

"And yet, Trump says transgender people in the military would be a tremendous disruption".

"Thank you?", Colbert asked, perplexed.

Price says the tweets published by the President sent this message to young transgender individuals, "you're not welcomed and we think less of you" she said.

5-story building collapses in India, killing at least 12
The fact that the nursing home on the ground floor was not in operation may have also saved several lives. IANS reports that the 40-year-old building was on BMC's list of "dangerous buildings".

"I would like to see them try to kick me out of my military", Staff Sgt. Logan Ireland said to the Air Force Times.

"Just because we are transgendered does not mean we are not fit to serve in the military", says TransAction South Dakota President Marty Epstein.

The Congresswoman also stated, "this is a discriminatory decision that could have serious implications on our military readiness and impact many who now serve our nation". He says at the time, being transgender would have been hard in the military. But when the RAND Corp. studied this question recently, it disagreed: Across all military service branches, it found that only an estimated 10 to 130 active trans soldiers would be less deployable every year because of gender transition medical treatments.

And former Congresswoman Gwen Graham with this: "A commander and chief shouldn't discriminate against any American who wants to serve in our military".

Heathscott says she's disappointed, but not surprised.

She said the LGBT community feels betrayed by the president who promised to support the LGBT community.

The US has, in the past three months, been witnessing a rise in differences over the issue of transgender rights in the country.
