Meanwhile, leaders of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Government met in the evening to chalk out their strategy to counter the Opposition in Parliament.

The Opposition is likely to raise the Kashmir and China standoff issues during Parliament's Monsoon Session that begins on Monday. They also wanted the Centre to seek stern action against the militants by taking the confidence of the people Kashmir.

Azad said the Congress has conveyed to the government that there are some sensitive issues related to the internal and external security that needed to be discussed during the Parliament session. JD (U) leader Sharad Yadav has accused the Modi government of failing to fulfil its promises to create jobs and said the opposition parties would raise the matter in Parliament. "There is political suffocation in Kashmir", the Congress leader said. We will also ensure good coordination and communication with the opposition to help get legislative business passed during the session. RJD chief Lalu Prasad and his family members are being named in the chargesheet in an alleged corruption case.

"There are a lot of bills pending in the Parliament and even then, they are introducing so many bills".

The day began with Prime Minister addressing the press outside the Parliament saying that he hoped that the Monsoon Session will be filled with new vigor and a spirit to promote the national interest.

Sources in the BJP said that the government will try to pass a dozen Bills during the session, including the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Bill, Whistle blowers' Protection Bill, Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill, Enemy Property (Amendment) Bill Consumer Protection Bill, and the Companies (Amendment) Bill.
