Other stars in the film include Kathy Baker, as wife Sue Paterno, Greg Grunberg (as son Scott Paterno), Annie Parisse (as daughter Mary Kay Paterno) and Riley Keough as reporter Sara Ganim. In a side-by-side comparison photo by Deadline, there's no doubt a resemblance between Pacino and the late Paterno, although Pacino clearly has a thinner face than his square-jawed real-life subject.

The untitled movie, which is in production, is being directed by Barry Levinson.

The script for the HBO and Sony Pictures Television collaboration will be penned by Debora Cahn (Grey's Anatomy, The West Wing), John C. The movie, which will be on HBO, is now in production.
