Gymboree closing 350 stores including four in the Richmond region

Children's clothing seller Gymboree is closing 350 stores as its works to restructure in Chapter 11 bankruptcy, which it filed for in June. Seven of the locations are in Colorado.

Gymboree did not say when the individual store closings would take place, but closing sales at the affected stores are scheduled to begin July 18, the San Francisco-based retailer said in a statement. The retailer is working with Great American Group and Tiger Group to manage the closing sales for the stores it plans to shutter.

The closings include the store at Westfield Siesta Key in Sarasota and 13 other Florida locations. And two Janie and Jack stores will remain: Galleria and Taubman Prestige Outlets in Chesterfield.

Five of the 350 locations set to close are in NY, including four in Upstate, according to the company.

People who drink coffee live longer, say studies
Further research is needed but for now researchers are focused on what compounds are to credit for the health benefits of coffee . Setiawan said: " coffee contains a lot of antioxidants and phenolic compounds that play an important role in cancer prevention".

West Acres' Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development Alissa Adams told The Forum that the closing news "does not come as a surprise to us" as Gymboree adjusts its national footprint. "While the majority of our stores will remain open, we have made a decision to close approximately 350 stores, mainly across our Gymboree and insane 8 brands, to help strengthen our company as a whole".

Fox Valley Mall in Aurora and Algonquin Commons are losing both Gymboree and insane 8 stores.

As people shop online more, traditional retailers such as Gymboree and shopping malls in general have been hit hard.
