The heat and humidity will lead to a few storms tonight

WHAT WE'RE TRACKINGShowers and thunderstorms rolled through the area between 9 am and 10 am producing gusty winds, and pockets of heavy rain.

Showers and storms return that following Thursday and Friday. The hot weather will continue with highs in the low to mid-90s. Although water levels for Lake Ontario have been going down, the wind will cause shoreline issues once again.

Lows Sunday will be in the low to mid-70s and highs either side of 90. Storms in the afternoon could be strong or severe with a threat for downburst winds, heavy rainfall, and frequent lightning.

The weekend will be unsettled with scattered rain and a few strong storms Saturday as a cold front makes its way into the area.

LESS HUMID: We get a break from the humidity this weekend. We'll likely heat up to the mid 90s by the middle of next week.

Tonight other than a stray shower/storm before 8pm we'll be dry and mostly clear with lows in the 60s for our coolest night of the next 7 nights.

Lows Saturday will be in the mid-70s followed by highs in the low to mid-90s. Lightning and gusts to 45 miles per hour could be produced from these thunderstorms.

Humidity begins to increase mid to late week. The handsome weather will continue into Saturday.
