Bosh was with the Heat for six seasons and helped take the Heat to two championships in 2012 and 2013.

Bosh was drafted fourth overall by the Toronto Raptors in 2003 but left for Miami in 2010 to team up with LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, forming the team's fabled "Big Three" that set in motion a dominant four-season run in which the team went 224-88.

"We will forever be indebted to CB for how he changed this team and led us to four trips to the NBA Finals and two NBA championships", said Riley.

Bosh stuck around with the Heat after James rejoined the Cleveland Cavaliers and Wade signed with the Chicago Bulls, but he was never able to stay on the court consistently due to blood-clot issues.

John Terry eyes Chelsea managerial job after Villa arrival
Indeed, Higgins vowed to get the ex-Chelsea captain's name tattooed on his buttocks should he put pen to paper at Villa Park. Villa begin their campaign on August 5 against Hull and punters may opt to use their free bet to back them for the points.

"Chris has changed his life and his career when he arrived in Miami", said president Pat Riley in a press release. Today, we are both moving on but we wish Chris, Adrienne and their family nothing but the best.

The Heat would have loved to continue on the journey with Bosh as their centerpiece, but they believed it was time to move on.

The 33-year-old Bosh's career to this point has spanned 12 season, 11 of which he played in. Waiving the veteran centre frees up about $25million in salary cap space.

Last month, Bosh, the National Basketball Players Association and the NBA agreed on a one-time deal to permanently remove Bosh from the Heat's salary cap while allowing Bosh the option of someday returning to his career, sources told ESPN.
