New poll says most Americans don't trust polls

Similarly, a 60 percent majority say that they trust USA courts while 37 percent said that they do not. In its latest poll, Survey Monkey found that 50 percent of adults said they trusted CNN more than Trump, whereas 43 percent trust the commander in chief more than the cable news channel, reported Axios. A full 82 percent of Republicans and 83 percent of Independents correctly identified Great Britain, while 72 percent of Democrats got the answer right, according to the data.

On the other side, 89 percent Republicans consider Trump more trustworthy, while just 9 percent of them share this thought about CNN.

The survey found that adults also trusted the New York Times, Washington Post and network news programs like NBC, CBS and ABC more than the President. Thirty percent said they trust the media while 68 percent said they don't have trust.

Uncle Sam conducts an unofficial straw poll outside Des Moines, IA on January 31, 2016.

Seventy percent of respondents said that tensions between Democrats and Republicans have deteriorated further under the Trump administration. The US president has refuted these allegations and labeled the media involved in these speculations as "fake news".

Since his 2016 presidential campaign, Trump has repeatedly used the term "fake news" to accuse the CNN and mostly for any coverage criticizing him or his allies.

The video was published as the recently elected French leader arrived in the West African country for an anti-terror summit. The video shows six foreigners from six different countries including a South American nun and a woman from France.

The poll is a complete reversal of Republican views in Democrat Barack Obama's presidency.

The findings come against a backdrop of an ongoing battle between Trump and mainstream media, with CNN being his most targeted outlet. On the average, 64 percent of all adults disapproved the use by @POTUS of Twitter, 89 percent of Democrats and a relatively high of 38 percent among Republicans. Twenty percent say it's stayed the same.

SurveyMonkey's Jon Cohen told Axios that the poll matters because it shows how Donald Trump's feud with the press has divided Americans.

The Tuesday poll surveyed 4,965 adults between June 29 and July 3, with a margin of error of plus or minus 2.5 percentage points.

"The fight... between the White House and major media outlets has made the question of truthfulness just as partisan-tinged as health care or other policies."
