Onyekuru was on superb form in the Belgian League this past season while playing for KAS Eupen.

The Toffees have struck a deal to sign Onyekuru, The Mail reported earlier, which will see them loan him to Anderlecht for the season.

Everton are close to signing highly rated Nigeria striker Henry Onyekuru in a £7m deal from KAS Eupen.

Arsenal were the leading the chase for the Nigerian star, but later backed out as coach Arsene Wenger insisted he wanted to continue monitoring the 20-year old.

Federer beats Khachanov to advance to his 11th Halle final
Federer also spoke about his straight sets victory over Mischa Zverev , who is at a career-high ranking of 29. Khachanov will now play fellow Russian Andrey Rublev , who earlier beat Mikhail Youzhny .

Onyekuru scored 22 goals last season to finish as the second highest scorer in Belgium.

It is understood the Toffees plan to loan the striker to Anderlecht, who will play in the Champions League next season, to assist his development before bringing him to the Premier League full-time. The Spaniard has already had a medical and agreed personal terms and will complete the deal following the conclusion of the U21 European Championships in Poland where Spain are still involved.

Having smashed their club transfer record to sign £30million goalkeeper Jordan Pickford and followed up with the addition of £25million Davy Klaassen from Ajax, Everton are not finished by any means.

Ronald Koeman is still after his prime summer target Gylfi Sigurdsson and Burnley defender Michael Keane.
