The political assault against Qatar has seen Saudi Arabia, the UAE and other states break diplomatic ties with Doha, as well as close their land borders and airspace to the country.

A Gulf minister attempted to bribe the Somali president with $80 million to join the boycott of Qatar, amid an ongoing diplomatic dispute that has led to an all-out blockade, sources told The New Arab.

Erdogan called on Saudi King Salman to show leadership by solving the crisis.

Erdogan strongly rejected accusations by the Gulf countries that Qatar supports terrorism.

"The US sees Hamas as a terror organization, but to the rest of the Arab nations it is a legitimate resistance movement", Al-Thani said during a visit to Russian Federation. "It's as if a death penalty decision has been imposed on Qatar", Erdoğan said.

The crisis has put Turkey in a hard position as it views Qatar as one of its chief allies in the region, but Ankara also seeks to avoid damaging relations with Saudi Arabia and other Arab states.

Erdogan said that it was Qatar, alongside Turkey, which had been fighting Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) extremists the most.

Josh Peck Reportedly 'Hurt' by Drake Bell's Wedding Tweets
She shared a picture of herself wearing the marital bling, thanking her future hubby for the attractive piece of jewelry. Josh hasn't officially responded to those tweets yet but is reportedly said to have been " really hurt " by them.

"It's a message of defiance, that we don't need others", Umm Issa, 40, said.

While calling on Qatar and the Gulf nations to ease tensions, the United Nations said it is working to resolve the crises.

In Paris, Sheikh Mohammed, who is on a European tour to drum up support for Qatar, said his country had no idea what had provoked the move against it.

The biggest diplomatic rift in years among the rich states of the Gulf has disrupted Qatar's imports of food and other materials, although its finance minister has played down the economic toll of the confrontation.

It threatens to jeopardize their relations with Qatar and force them to choose between Saudi Arabia and Iran.

A week in to the unprecedented blockade of Qatar by its neighbours, there is little sign of progress towards a resolution. Qatar imports mainly from the United States and Germany but also from Saudi Arabia. Both have delivered food supplies to the country and Turkey has agreed to deploy troops.
