Almost as many Americans, 64 percent, disapprove of Trump's climate change policies.

There are other worrying signs for Trump. Forty-three percent approve. The survey, conducted by the public opinion research firm YouGov, has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.83 percentage points. Sixty-six percent of white voters without college degrees cast their ballot for Trump, according to CNN's exit polls.

Kerry knows of what he speaks: "Former Secretary of State John Kerry said Monday that the Iran nuclear deal could hold even if President Donald Trump pulls out but he warned that imposing new economic sanctions against Tehran could be risky". But Cruz is also the leader in negative reviews, getting those from 44 percent of voters. Democrats were more likely than Republicans to express favorable views of the federal law enforcement agency: 51 percent have favorable opinions and 15 percent had unfavorable views; among Republicans, 43 percent were positive and 35 percent were negative.

Texas voters trust the U.S. Supreme Court and the judicial branch of government more than the legislative or executive branches, and they hold Congress in especially low regard. But 15 percent of Republicans hold a positive view of Russian Federation, 45 percent a negative view, and 40 percent are neutral.

The failure of those expectations during the campaign are now fully in evidence.

Portraits emerge of officers hailed as heroes at shooting
Rand Paul, R-Ky., said the scene was a " killing field " and that without Griner and Bailey, "it would have been a massacre". Hodgkinson , a 66-year-old IL man who had in recent months been living out of his auto in the Alexandria area.

This is the first time the president's overall approval rating has hit the 50% mark since late April. Only 5 percent of self-identified Democrats said he has the temperament for the office, while 68 percent of self-identified Republicans said he does have the proper temperament. He won. Nonetheless, these expectations continued as Trump's presidency has replicated the characteristics of his campaign.

Trump was unpopular among Americans overall even as he was elected president, but the poll shows that even many Republicans have doubts. "They continue to embrace him". For example, as long as Trump maintains 80 percent job approval among Texas Republicans, it is inconceivable that Republicans in the Texas congressional delegation will entertain any idea of impeachment proceedings.

Democrats' astonishment notwithstanding, the success of Donald Trump's usurpation of the Republican Party leadership is clearly in evidence in the attitudes of Texas voters, making any expectations that Republican elected officials can abandon him without penalty ill-advised.

While the White House has always been defined by tumult and some Republicans have been withdrawing from the president for a while, recent signs have been particularly worrying for Trump.
