Trump tells senators House health bill 'mean'

A month after praising the House-approved bill and ensuring it was "incredibly well-crafted", Trump urged the senators to make substantial changes to the same bill, which has been created to replace President Barack Obama's health reform implemented in 2010, but still needs the Senate's approval, according to legislative sources cited by media outlets CNN and The Hill. Indivisible, a nonprofit network aimed at resisting Trump's agenda, has a campaign strategy to take down the health care bill and even provides a script to use should you decide to call your legislators.

"What we have is something very, very incredibly well-crafted", Trump said of his party's proposal, adding, "It's going to be an unbelievable victory, actually, when we get it through the Senate".

The AHCA remains broadly unpopular; just 8% of Americans want the bill to pass the Senate in its current form, according to CNN.

And with good reason, because when the CBO did look at the bill, it turned out that it would have left 23 million more Americans without health coverage and would slash $834 billion in health care for the poor. BuzzFeed's article said Trump used the phrase "son of a bitch" to describe the pending legislation.

Independent Journal Review's Haley Byrd tweeted on Monday that when asked by reporters if he would like to know more about the health care bill, Graham said "no".

But his allies see few upsides to opposing the Senate repeal bill even if it is imperfect - and argues voting "no" would be tough to sell to his conservative base, the Post reported.

Panama switches diplomatic recognition from Taiwan to China
A Chinese vessel was the first to pass through the Panama Canal after a major expansion project was completed last June. Panama's termination of bilateral relations with Taiwan means there are only 20 countries that recognise Taiwan.

"I just think there's too much at stake, including the agenda when we get back in the fall - do another budget resolution and do tax reform - and we can't get to that until we get this done", Cornyn said. The Senate has a Republican majority of only two votes.

Thune also said President Trump did not give any deadlines to the senators on passing their bill. Republicans hope to pass their bill this summer before they leave for the August recess. Please call and visit our Senators and the Representative of half of Montclair, Rodney Frelinghuysen, who supported these cuts in the House bill.

The fight seeped into what was billed as bipartisan exercise - a hearing before the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions on how to slash prescription drug prices.

In May, a Kaiser health tracking poll found that most Americans view the proposed replacement of the Affordable Care Act unfavorably. John Thune (S.D.), the chamber's No. 3 Republican, said. Sen. Can you tell us how the Senate bill will impact both the youngest and oldest Americans? The last bill's cost was thousands of dollars more for the elderly and those with pre-existing conditions (no matter what age you are).

Democrats say the process is blatantly hypocritical because Republicans complained before Obamacare passed in 2010 that it was largely written behind closed doors. The president's maladministration could include lax enforcement of the individual mandate to purchase health insurance, inadequate efforts to enroll more people in coverage and other gratuitous subversions of the finely tuned system Obamacare sought to create.
