Although he was still a freshman who barely had time to get to know his teammates, he will be in everyone's minds this season.

Tyler Heintz, a 2017 graduate of Kenton High School, was an offensive tackle for the Golden Flashes.

Heintz was a 2-star recruit, according to 247Sports.com, and he signed with Kent State on February 1.

Heintz, of Kenton, Ohio, was on campus working out and taking summer classes.

Tuesday was the second day of workouts.

The 19-year-old Heintz was unresponsive when firefighters were called to Dix Stadium at just after 9 a.m. on Tuesday.

Traditionally, off-season football workouts are only lightly supervised, are held without pads, directed by upperclassmen, and per NCAA rules have limited coaching supervision.
