Sheriff: Wisconsin tornado injures at least 20

Beautiful weekend before a stormy pattern returns

Beautiful weekend before a stormy pattern returns

The storm struck between 4 and 5:30 a.m. and was the result of a heat burst, National Weather Service meteorologist Alex Ferguson said.

There is another risk of severe storms next Tuesday.

According to the National Weather Service in Dodge City unsafe severe weather is possible along and east of Highway 283.

There is a difference between a severe thunderstorm and your typical afternoon pop-up thunderstorm we see a lot during the summer. Expect scattered clouds, breezy conditions and temperatures warming into the 80s during the late morning hours. Northeastern Iowa and southwestern Wisconsin are under the bullseye for a severe weather threat, with damaging wind, large hail, and a few tornadoes all possible.

All storms will be capable of producing large hail, damaging winds, and more locally heavy rainfall. That means it is really important to heed warnings as you may not be able to judge the threat by looking into the approaching storms to your south. It is May in Oklahoma so the tornado threat is never zero with storms happening, but it is on the low side.

May in Oklahoma means insane allergies and a busy weather pattern with storm chances nearly every week.

New US envoy to Israel officially takes up role
Pressed on whether the Trump administration saw the wall as being in Israel, McMaster demurred, saying it was a "policy decision". The Western Wall, the holiest site of Jewish prayer, is located in part of the territory it captured in the 1967 Middle East War.

A second area of storms will develop west and charge across the state.

The better chance of storms will develop after 7pm Thursday and continue through Saturday where a few storms may be strong or even severe weather through Friday evening.

Severe storms are likely Thursday, especially for the western half of the state.

Residents from Wisconsin to Texas should keep a close eye on the forecast and keep flashlights and weather radios handy.

The storm will move at a much slower pace compared to its predecessor, which will heighten the risk of repeating thunderstorms and flooding.
