Miley Cyrus has more "energy" since she stopped smoking marijuana, as she claims she's now been clean for "nine or 10 weeks".

The 24-year-old singer-songwriter has sparked controversy with some of her eye-catching on-stage antics over the years - but Miley has claimed her outrageous behaviour is simply a reflection of her personality.

Darryl spoke to Miley about "Malibu" which is her first new music in over three years and it sounds very different to her previous singles. "My T-shirt says, 'I Should Have My Own TV Show, '" Cyrus noted, before lip-syncing along with her audition tape. "I'm a very obsessive person, which I need to work on, but also it helps in my position to be a little obsessive because then I can really get things done and the make sure its flawless the way I want things to look in the video". "Anything that I want to do, if I want to stop or start something, I can do anything".

"I think she just found... she's firing off all cylinders".

"I roll them joints. I want to be super clear and sharp, because I know exactly where I want to be". I've always had a lot of energy. And then you realise what's most important.

She went on to explain that no matter how heart-wrenching they feel, breakups can be good for us in the long run. "I don't want to hear the wedding bells boom/ Then we can try one last time".
