Miley Cyrus was 'always a little controversial'

After announcing the single just last week, Miley Cyrus released "Malibu" this morning-a song she told Billboard magazine is about her fiancé Liam Hemsworth.

Miley Cyrus has opened up about her relationship with Liam Hemsworth in her new single, Malibu.

"I never would've believed you, if three years ago you told me I'd be here writing this song", go the lyrics of this tearjerker that glorifies how glad she is that Liam happened to her.

"I see Miley really just functioning on, like, a figure and a joy for life", Billy Ray said, "I see a joy in her spirit and something coming from within that is just pure beauty".

Texas Sues Austin, Travis County Over 'Sanctuary City' Law
The state of Texas has turned against its own cities, enacting a law aimed at making them enforce federal immigration law. Republicans want local police to help federal immigration agents crack down on criminal suspects in the USA illegally.

The single is the first off an upcoming album Miley has been working on. However, with Malibu, we're happy to declare that she is definitely back and this time, she's going to stay in our hearts! After numerous personal twists, career left-turns and deliberately provocative behavior, this attractive song is the sanest thing Miley has done for years. "A dream come true", she sings.

Miley Cyrus' new song Malibu has arrived, and it's quite a departure from the drugged-out aesthetic of her Dead Petz phase.

The "Wrecking Ball" singer said she has completely "changed" as a person for the better. After playing minor roles in the television series Doc and the film Big Fish in her childhood, she became a teen idol starring as the character Miley Stewart in the Disney Channel television series Hannah Montana in 2006. She'll be performing the track on the 2017 Billboard Music Awards May 21, and on NBC's Today show May 26. As she enters the next era of her career, Miley has traded her outlandish ensembles and accessories (no more foam fingers and nipple pasties!) for simpler styles.
