LaVar Ball's company Big Baller Brand unveils son Lonzo Ball's $495 shoes

On Thursday, he and Lonzo unveiled their "Big Baller Brand" signature shoe, the "ZO2".

The ZO2 sneakers are much more expensive than the average Jordan shoe.

It seems as if the most intriguing storyline of the past week has been Lonzo Ball, and the parameters surrounding a possible endorsement deal for him to sign with a sneaker company.

However, I do understand spending maybe more than you should for something you really want, even if you don't really need it. Will they lower their asking price if their brand doesn't succeed?

The reporter asks: "Would you buy your kids a pair of shoes for $500 from an unproven National Basketball Association player after college?"

I figured that's what the shoe was worth. All of Twitter had a field day with the announcement regarding the Big Baller Brand shoes, especially those in the National Basketball Association realm. So basically, "if you can't buy our shoes you're poor".

While the bill for the ZO2 may be steep, with LaVar's exuberant personality and outspoken strategy, some people will purchase the shoe.

Adrian Gonzalez goes on disabled list for 1st time in career
Dodgers: Gonzalez was placed on the disabled list for the first time in his 14-year big league career, with right elbow soreness. Sergio Romo (1-1) got the final two outs of the sixth with the bases loaded for his first victory with the Dodgers.

All in all, LaVar has done a magnificent job in gaining national attention for the Big Baller Brand, which has passed their original market of Chino Hills, California.

O'Neal was well known for the affordability of his signature sneakers, whether it was priced at Reebok or at local Payless shoe stores for those that couldn't afford the competition.

Check out LaVar's interview with Dan Le Batard in the two videos below.

Another 22 thousand retweets of free publicity. By making his outlandish comments across sports debate shows, which include his claim that he could beat Jordan in a game of one-on-one, LaVar has shown the ability to attract eyeballs.

"What kid, you know, that's 19 can make his own shoe the way he wants it?"

No one took the bait, so now, Lavar is taking his brand solo. He also came armed with a prototype of what he thought Lonzo's first sneaker could be.
